SDTC Services LLC (SDTCS) and South Dakota Trust Company LLC (SDTC) can assist a family with the formation, operation, and administration of a regulated South Dakota Private Family Trust Company (PFTC) as well as related family trusts.
Both SDTC and SDTCS were founded by Al W. King III and Pierce H. McDowell III, and are headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
SDTCS is the industry leader in the establishment, operation and administration of Private Family Trust Companies (PFTC) for families. SDTC Services LLC can serve as corporate agent of a regulated PFTC in South Dakota by providing the family with the necessary office space, office services (e.g., answer the phone, collect and forward mail, etc.) and local Board membership, as well as assistance with regulatory and compliance issues. SDTC Services can then work with SDTC to provide trust administration, trust accounting, and custody services. The PFTC can then work with the non-South Dakota Family Office in servicing the family with investment advisory, tax and other services typically through servicing agreements. This is all accomplished without the client having to move to South Dakota, if SDTC and SDTC Services are involved.
